Gift for my aunt

We went to Sydney to take the kids to the Wiggles just before Christmas. It was absolutely just so much fun! They had a ball. We met up with my sister and her kids, my little niece and nephew. Ted and his cousin ran riot around the entertainment centre as we waited for the show to start. Thankfully they got alot out of their systems. Poor Alex though was so tired, about half way through the opening act, he fell asleep! I can't imagine my kids doing that! Once Ted got over his disappointment that Greg wasn't there, he really got into it, especially when they sang all the older songs that he likes so much. All in all, a great day, and well worth the trip. Hopefully it will become an annual event for us.
While we were there, we stayed with my aunt. Well, sort of my aunt. Not really, actually. She was married to my uncle, but when they seperated and divorced, we all kept in contact with her, and 15 years down the track we all just hang out. As a thank you for letting us stay, I made her a scrapbook page and framed it, using a photo I had snapped of her and her grandson a fortnight before.
She just adored it. It was wonderful, so I hope to see it hanging up somewhere next time we visit. I always get a little bit nervous giving someone a gift like that- what if they don't want your artwork hanging up, you know? I framed it in a nice white frame with a large matt, and if I do say it, it looked really good.

countdown!!!

So there is, like, 12 days until Josie's first birthday and I have about 14 pages to finish, along with a title page and the end letter. I can see my little mousie will be working over time! I am so determined to finish it on time that I refuse to give up, although I think I will be using quite a few templates for the last few pages! I did make one page that I am especially proud of. I had this one in mind and sketched for quite a while, and when I found the puzzle template by scrapping with Liz, I was so stoked! So here it is...
