Week one layout

I am just so happy to have completed a layout for week one. i just love the little story this page tells for me. So often at home with the kids the days just fly and gel into each other, but here are just special little snippets of things that mattered each day. Officially hooked on Project 365!

The weekend

I'm not even sure what I am up to here! I have been very diligent in taking my photos- that is the easy part! I do have a good excuse that I have a beautiful new laptop to play on, and have yet to sort out all of my stuff. So I will add my images, and hopefully be organised enough to post mt first weeks layout! I was so excited to have accomplished something.

I am only adding yesterdays photo tonight. It has been UNBELIEVABLY hot here. over 40 yesterday and today with no end in sight. The poor kids. On the upside, the Wii has been getting quite a workout, as it lets ted at least move about with some purpose while staying cool inside. One of his favourite games is swordplay- he rushes at the TV and yells out 'You don't eat your peas cheese and toast' before knocking his opponent off the side and into the water! It is quite amusing, especially as his big tactic is just waving the remote around everywhere. he is getting quite good, and I have adopted his technique also (without the yelling- ted provides that for me) and have a score of 916. Almost pro!

Photos for days 2-4

I am finding that I grab my camera, head outside, all ready to take a photo, and I look around and... nothing. Totally devoid of inspiration. How do you pick one image to define your day? Even on a quiet day at home, which is what has been the case so far, each day is still full of so much activity. I find it so hard to get a photo of just one of the kids, because, well, they both were there, they played, but at the same time I can't have 365 photos of the two of them looking at the ground, the sky, ANYWHERE but my camera! So here are three more photos. Josie on the swings, and one of the photos I took to put on Teddy's blog header, for his own 365. You can check it out if you like, it's called 'No bad photos' The concept is to prove that every photo can tell a story of some sort, even if they are not especially good photos. And finally, for today, I have monkey girl crawling into the small space under the BBQ and chatting and singing away to all the bugs.

I am sure that I will only get better at this as the project evolves. I feel so much pressure to get it 'right' at this stage! I have no idea how you get it wrong... So for now, I suppose I just get used to the concept. Let it all sink in, and eventually, it will become a bit more natural. That's the theory, anyway!

New Blog

Well, I have managed to make a new blog background and to install it myself, although I am still confused about having the text overlap the paper so much. Sigh. I think I have more research to do.

But anyway, here today is the official unveiling of my Project 365 blog. It's quite exciting, really. I almost made it through the first day last year, and this year I am holding up well on day 3. If you can keep a new years 'thing' (I don't do resolutions) until easter, you have more chance of keeping them all year.

I have only included my day 1 picture here. It's Ted in his room. We spent all day swapping the kids' rooms over. Ted has outgrown the nursery and I just couldn't take down all the baby things that I put up when I was pregnant with him. So I can live in denial about my babies growing up for just a little bit longer!
